Marston House

This house was originally built as the Clinton, LA branch
of New Orleans Union Bank. It was the bank that gave
Bank Street it's name.

When the bank was shut down, a man by the name of
Henry Marston bought the House.

The house was used as a hospital during the Civil War.
It was then used as a home afterwards. Until recently,
it was allowed to fall into disrepair. The house is currently
undergoing renovations.

A Story Of Two Houses Clinton, LA

I know very little about these houses. They are very
different in their levels of repair.

Clinton, LA Watertower

This water tower is one of a few left in this old style. I
was thrilled to simply have the opportunity to see it myself.

Brick Yard Store Clinton, LA

Although this building was originally part of a business
complex, it is now a private residence. This is the lone
survivor of the complex.

Clinton, LA Old time Vehicles

This is one of my favorite cars. It is great to see one
beautifully restored.

This jeep has been left sitting. It is a joy to see such
rare specimens.

This army truck is sadly left to rust. I would love to return
later to find this truck returned to life.

This antique tractor is still found in decent condition.
The condition is surprising considering the fact that
it was left sitting open to the weather.

This tow truck was found sitting behind an auto body shop.
I am curious as to whether or not it still runs.

Clinton, LA Scenery

I took these cool pictures from my truck. Most people
will never realize what they are driving past

This view is a scene that looks down Bank Street. You
can even see the front of the Marston House in the picture.

Queen pull Away from her dock in St. Francisville, LA
a few weeks ago.

I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to watch such a
wonderful example of American history leave such a
historical town
